چکیده
In an infrared photodetector, noise current (dark current) is generated throughout the volume of detector. Reducing will reduce dark current, but corresponding smaller area also received signal. By using a separate antenna to receive light, one can detector without reducing signal, thereby increasing its signal ratio (SNR). Here, we present dielectric resonator (DRA) coupled photodetector. Its performance compared conventional resonant cavity enhanced slab The Noise Equivalent Power (NEP) used as figure merit for comparison. Formulas NEP are derived both cases. A pBp photodiode assumed in active region InAs/GaSb Type II Superlattice (T2SL). Genetic Algorithm optimize dimensions and DRA achieve smallest NEP. result photodetector that converts over 85% incident light into carriers with reduced by 95%. This optimal geometry leads 6.02dB

Terahertz Dielectric Resonator Antenna Coupled to Graphene Plasmonic Dipole
This paper presents an efficient approach for exciting a dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) in the terahertz frequencies by means of a graphene plasmonic dipole. Design and analysis are performed in two steps. First, the propagation properties of hybrid plasmonic onedimensional and two-dimensional structures are obtained by using transfer matrix theory and the finite-element method. The couplin...
متن کاملDielectric Resonator Antenna - Possible Candidate for Adaptive Antenna Arrays
Future base stations for Spatial Division Multiplex Access (SDMA) will utilize adaptive antenna arrays, capable of identifying the direction of the incoming signal and steering the transmitted beam in appropriate directions. The radiating elements that have been thus far considered for building the antenna array are typically wire dipoles or microstrip patches. This tutorial paper describes a n...
متن کاملTunable Dielectric Resonator-Based Left-Handed Leaky Wave Antenna
Recently, left-handed (LH) metamaterials have been achieved by arranging an array of TE resonant dielectric resonators (DRs) in a cut-off parallel plate waveguide [1], [2]. Since negative permittivity is provided by the TE cut-off background, the DRs only need to generate the required negative permeability in order to realize a LH metamaterial. This configuration provides a more flexible choice...
متن کاملWideband Monopole/dielectric Resonator Antenna - a Review
Several wideband antennas are presented for either wireless application. This paper presents the performance of a simple monopole antenna loaded with an annular dielectric resonator as a wideband transmitting/receiving antenna. By adjusting the length of the monopole and load arm, a 10-dB bandwidth of 94% is achieved while maintaining monopole-like radiation pattern, which covers UWB applicatio...
